About The Owners & Staff

Owners of King William Pet Resort & Spa Domenick and Janet Aldellizzi purchased Haurand Kennels from former owner Kathy Haurand in 2016. Since then, they live and work around the clock on the newly remodeled property as full time animal lovers and care takers of their many acres.

They relocated to Virginia from San Diego, bringing their dogs, parrots and racing pigeons.

Janet, a former veterinary technician, has 40+ years experience working with animals. She’s traveled to South America, Asia and Africa to assist propagation programs for wide varieties of tropical birds, and for zoological parks. She has also shown, and bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Daschunds, French Bulldogs & Standard Poodles over the last 30 years. 

Domenick has owned and trained hunting dogs for 30+ years, and now raises Dogo Argentinos. He has also participated in the sport of Racing Pigeons for over 50 years, breeding and caring tirelessly for the birds. His experience and knowledge in construction has been key in remodeling the kennels and grounds to the perfect place for their animals, and yours.

Our loving staff members David, Russell, Caleb, James, and Courtney are dedicated, experienced hard workers, sharing a love for animals that is unrivaled, keeping our kennels and animals clean, happy, and healthy.

We are a small family kennel with 16 indoor/outdoor dog runs. Your dog is never left alone, as our owners and caretakers live on the premises, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your family member will enjoy individual attention and care during their entire stay. Our kennel is climate controlled for comfort, and dogs are given ample supervised play times in large grassy play yards. For your pets safety and security, play times for dogs are grouped according to size, energy level and personality.  Please note that aggressive dogs and intact dogs play separately to ensure the safety of all dogs on the premises.
